New Years Eve

Ask and it shall be given,
Seek and you shall find.
Knock and the door shall be
Opened unto you.
Matthew 7:7

New Y E A R, new H O M E, new S T A T E,
new S C H O O L, new F R I E N D S, new EVERYTHING
So many doors opened for our family...Happy 2016 indeed!

Thank you to our new friends, the Park family, for taking us in on New Years Eve (chaos at our new home, barely in 48 hrs, boxes everyone, food scarce!) We so enjoyed the company and food, cheers to new friends and new memories. How many times have you ever sang "Happy New Year" to the tune of "Happy Birthday" and blown out a candle on a clock cake? The littles will not forget that happy moment! Cannot believe they ALL made it to the count down in Times Square and watched the ball drop! Wow! Good night everyone...

Moving Days

Say goodbye to the apartment...and hello to our house! We officially closed on the house, December 29, and had movers scheduled for the 30th. Lots of logistics happening on this move, not only did we need to move everything out of the apt, but we also had to empty the storage units (yes, plural! lots of downsizing in our future). Our movers were superb, quick, careful and professional, getting the jobs done fast...loved the red carpet service too!

Moving is one thing...U N P A C K I N G is quite another! I think it will take a few months to get everything sorted, settled, and in its final place. Kids were great helpers, excited to unpack every box (especially ones with toys) and generally excited to explore our new house, new rooms, and help get their new playroom set up! Looking forward to all the new memories we will make in this house, it is good to be home sweet Texas home!

A Gruene Christmas

No white Christmas here in Texas, but thanks to my hubby, we had a Gruene Christmas, and headed to see Bob Schneider play the day after Christmas! Dinner at the Gristmill, beautiful night under the stars, and wonderful evening together. I will trade a white Christmas for a Gruene one with you anytime! Merry Christmas, love you babe, and thanks for my present!

Merry Christmas Day 2015

"For unto you is born this day
In the City of David
A Saviour,
Which is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:11

M E R R Y
C H R I S T M A S!

We awoke to a very happy crew, excited for presents! Lots of awesome gifts for Hannah, a doll bed for her American Girl, new doll outfits, Dr. and Vet dress up sets, new princess pj's, new clothes, AND Legos and Play doh sets! Whew! Luke received a new train table, sets from Cars and Planes, wooden tractors and horse trailers, a xylophone, new Leap Frog speller, AND a huge Tonka truck! Little Olivia just loved watching everyone and everthing, happy amidst the chaos!

We ate a delicious breakfast...

Followed by an even more delicious late afternoon dinner...cooked together by all of us! Best times together are spent in the kitchen! Thanks for the new aprons mom, love being with you better than any gift this Christmas! Wishing everyone a most blessed Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve

I love Christmas Eve. Even more than Christmas morning. Always have...I love the anticipation, the food, going to midnight mass (or the 4pm Children's mass in our case), and opening Christmas PJ's! This year was so memorable for many reasons, our move back to Texas, first Christmas for Mom & Dad to be with all of their grandchildren, AND the first time in a few years we have been together with my parents for the holidays! Hooray!

Our eve was a blurrrrrrr, Carla, Daniel & Olivia flew in that afternoon, we headed to a standing room only mass, feasted on a dinner of tamales, chicken tortilla soup, desserts & drinks, then pj's and bedtime for the littles, phew! I guess I was having too much fun to take pics, I don't have a lot! Sleep tight everyone!
