3 Months Old!

Hooray! Three months old! Hannah keeps growing and growing...no wonder everyone tells us to 'savor the moment' and 'they grow so fast' - they are right! My sweet baby girl is doing all sorts of new things:
*rolled from tummy to back!
*likes to 'sit' up (propped up)
*still loves her bath
*enjoys sucking on her hands
*squealing with delight!!!
*smiling spontaneously
*fitting into her clothes
*pushing her head up high and looking around during tummy time!
AND
*sleeping in her nursery!
Hannah is much stronger now too - she likes to sit and does a great job holding her head up!

Hannah still dislikes:
*ANY pacifier we try to offer
*a bottle...very difficult at times!
*when she has gas
*riding in the car (I think she is lonely back there but sometimes she does end up going to sleep)

Here are some of our favorite pics of Hannah this month...she is so active! Always moving, kicking, smiling and talking when she is awake! SOOOO sweet when asleep!

Mike and I love every second we have with our daughter...life with Hannah is good! Who wouldn't want to stare into those eyes all day long???

Happy 30th Mike!

Congratulations to my husband! He has turned the big 3-0! Our options for celebrating this year were limited due to our bundle of joy, Hannah, however, I knew something special was in order. I arranged for our Supper Club to meet on Friday night at Cotton Row (a nice restaurant here in town)...down in the wine cellar. Mike was left out the plans and thought he and I were just going out...but SURPRISE!

It was really nice to have such a great group together on such short notice - thanks to everyone who helped Mike have such an amazing night! Hats off to our fearless babysitters, Carla and Daniel, who had Hannah for the evening, needless to say, she was very upset NOT to be at the surprise birthday dinner with her parents!

I love my husband soooooo much and was so excited to surprise him for his birthday! Cheers! Looking forward to many more birthdays spent together!

Our First Family Vacation!

Jackson Hole, WY - What a breathtaking place! Getting to see that breathtaking view was our challenge. One of my best friends and college roommate, Dana, was getting married in Jackson Hole, and since the area is one of my family's favorites - we made the trip a vacation! The morning started great - Hannah was a rockstar on her first airplane ride, and Mike and I were grateful for all the help we received from Carla and Daniel with our gear! Thanks guys!

Upon our arrival to Denver however, the bottom fell out on our awesome trip. Our flight to JH was cancelled...not delayed, not rescheduled, just cancelled. We needed to get to JH on Wednesday, but United Airlines did not seem to care! So my parents, who met us in Denver and were on the same cancelled flight, rented two cars, and we began our road trip!

Eight and half hours later...past midnight - we finally arrived! Luckily Dana got our lugguge at the airport in JH for us (since United sent our bags instead of us!) AND we were able to check in to our beautiful house after hours! We all crashed, including Hannah (who is an awesome little sleeper:-) so we could rally for our all day tour to Yellowstone National Park the following morning.

Hannah LOVES being outside - and the weather on our trip was so amazing! Our scenic tour bus/van was equipped with all sorts of cool gear (including drinks and snacks), but the coolest thing was that it had rooftop hatches that you could stand up and view from! We visited the historic Old Faithful Inn, of course watched Old Faithful erupt, saw waterfalls, bison, elk, AND a black bear! What an amazing day! We finished up with dinner and drinks at the Snake River Brewing Co. in the town of Jackson! Cheers!

Friday began with a scenic boat float down the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. (Hannah of course, did not attend...but she would have loved it!) Another good college friend, Emily Moeller White and her husband Daniel, met us for the boat float! Fun times!

The wedding rehersal, dinner, and the welcome party for all out of town guests was on Friday night - what an amazing view!

Hannah slept through most of it, but was in good company! Check out her pink cowboy boot socks!

We had a great time at the wedding...and Hannah loved spending time with her daddy while momma had fun with the bridal party! We got a great family photo too!

Here are some fun shots of the trip...good times! Can't wait for the next family vacation! Thanks Mom and Dad for a memorable trip!

Hannah and Mike on the airplane, headed back home...dreaming about our next vacation!
