Snow Days...

I think falling snow is one of the most beautiful sights to see during winter. Our recent record breaking snowfall, (almost 8 inches in one day!), was stunning to see, fun to play in, and now I hope winter is over!

Hannah loves the snow and was ready to head out and get started on a snowman as soon as the snow began to fall...Lukey on the other hand was so excited to get ready to go outside, but then did not want anything to do with the snow! He happily sat in his little bike, or wanted to be held, so maybe next year he will want in on the fun? Happy snow days to all! Bring on the warm weather!

Won't You Be Mine?

"We love because He first loved us."
1 John 4:19

How could anyone say no to this little guy, cheesy smile and all, with his hands in his pockets (something he just discovered) on Valentine's Day?

Or this little girl, full of smiles and pride in her beautifully decorated Valentine's Day mailbox? Not to mention that I did absolutely nothing to help Hannah with her Valentine's this year?! She choose them (Disney Princesses), separated & counted them out, and addressed all of them on her own, using a class list supplied on the February newsletter - I could not have been more proud of her! I will mention that while she received many creative, elaborate (Etsy or Pinterest for sure) Valentine's from her classmates, the sweet simplicity of Hannah's showed how little it takes to share a message of friendship.

LOVE these two with all my heart...sweet little Valentines!

My Funny Valentine

"I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine."
Song of Solomon 6:3

Happy Valentine's Day to my beloved of almost 17 years...how is that even possible? I have always loved this bible verse, so much so, that I even included it in our wedding program, oh so long ago. Thanks for always trying to find the "funny" in our crazy life and make me laugh...love you always.

Popcorn Anyone?

Hannah and I ventured out recently and saw Paddington without the boys, and we had a blast meeting up with Hannah's bff and her mom - the girls couldn't believe we had the entire theater to ourselves! All of us enjoyed the cute little movie! More popcorn please!!!

Knowing Luke is still a little young...but we took our chances and headed to see the new penguin movie back in December. It actually turned out OK, and next time we know not to sit Luke down with his popcorn until the actual movie starts not just the previews (which lasted over 30 min at a kids movie!?!). My little penguins enjoyed our outing and definitely ate up lots of snacks, and Luke actually fell asleep for the last part of the movie, so all in all it worked out ok! Hooray for family movie outings!
