7 Months Old Luke!

Trying to keep up with all of the new things Luke is up to is hard! From rolling & moving, to popping up on his knees and rocking, Luke is constantly trying to move, wriggle, and squirm! Still a very hungry boy - loves eating and loves all fruit and veggie combos that we offer! He loves to gnaw on mum mum crackers, and does a great job picking up and eating Gerber puffs too! Squealing and screeching, yelling and talking, Luke is very vocal - I am sure learning all kinds of sounds from his very vocal (and sometimes loud) big sister! Muh muh muh muh, or mamamamama are his closest sounds to any words right now - but a great start! He had his first cold and early signs of an ear infection when we got back from the beach - bummer! He was a trooper though, and aside from waking up at night a few times, he weathered the fever, runny nose, and other cold symptoms pretty well for such a little guy! Little is a loose term when used to describe Luke, he is a little baby, but there is nothing little about him! Nearing 20 lbs - Luke is wearing 9 mth and up sized clothes - and stretched right through the toes of a pair of footed pj's! Great napper, taking short ones in the car on school days and putting himself to sleep for longer ones on days we stay home - he loves to curl up on his tummy and tuck his hands under his chest - very cute - then he kind of sings/talks himself to sleep! I know I am forgetting some things...guess they'll have to wait till 8 mths! (which will be here too soon!)

Happy 34th to Me

34? How did that happen? I definitely think that the years are flying by now that my days are filled with Hannah & Luke! Carla made me a delicious Italian Cream Birthday Cake and treated me to some yummy Thai take out while Mike was out of town - thanks sis - and Mike, the kids, and I celebrated with a homemade fried chicken & waffle dinner when he arrived back in town! My favorite item had to be the card Hannah gave me, which was a musical card, but you actually had to blow the candle inside the card for the happy birthday music to start! How cute! Love my new black rain boots too!
Happy Birthday to me!

Preschool Thanksgiving

Hannah's preschool celebrated Thanksgiving with a potluck feast! Everyone signed up to help make a yummy dish & lots of parents helped set-up the event! Hannah's class made Indian headdresses to wear...oh so similar to my preschool Thanksgiving, which thanks to my mom I have the pics to show! HILARIOUS pic of Carla and I, and a great one of just me, like mother like daughter - Hannah looks so much like me as a little girl! Gobble gobble...I am thankful for my sweet preschooler!

Turkey Cookies

Hannah & I signed up to bring cookies to her preschool Thanksgiving feast - and oh what fun we had making them! After a quick search on google, and peek at pinterest I came up with two designs (we had to make sure our cookies were peanut free due to a classmates allergy) For the oreo turkeys we used a Hershey kiss, candy corns, chocolate frosting for our "glue" and white chocolate/mini chocolate chips for the eyes - for the striped turkey cookies, 3 Musketeers minis, candy corns, chocolate frosting, and candy corns. Hannah helped me organize the ingredients and we got to work! She did amazing for a 3 yr old and assembled the chocolate stripped turkey cookies almost entirely on her own (I only glued the eyes together)! Oreos were a tad bit more difficult but she counted out the candy corns and glued the kisses! Love my little pastry chef - we have so much fun in the kitchen - even Lukey helped sort the candy! P.S. the cookies were a big hit at the party - festive, cute & delicious!
