15 Months Old Luke!

Didn't I just post 14 months?! Gosh, time is really flying by! Everyday I feel as though I am trying to catch up yet never do, getting ahead is non-existent, and as a good friend of mine told me, "with three kids all day it's like playing wack-a-mole!" AND IT REALLY IS! Have I mentioned that Luke is everywhere and ON TOP of everything?! So many bruises and bumps daily...he climbs and climbs and then tumbles and falls. Rare occasions when I have one on one time he plays blocks (can stack up to 5!) and plays cars, or plays with empty plastic cups (stacking and building with them), he really just wants to run and climb!

Outside is the best place to be and Luke's favorite! He loves to "roar" like a dinosaur but does it in a whisper, too cute! LOVES to eat, and is always hungry. Lukey likes fruits and veggies best, but will try most anything! Drinking milk now like a champ, and thanks to his generous sister, he has tried many cookies, treats, popsicles, and candy - which of course he loves! Luke really likes to feed himself and prefers using his little utensils when eating. He gives high fives, claps for himself when he is proud, waves bye-bye, and still loves Little Blue Truck/Little Blue Truck Leads the Way as his bedtime stories, and Elmo's Ducks as his song. Generally happy, but teething makes him cranky and whiny lately, he is good listener and follows simple directions well. So much love for my little Lukey, stay little for just a little bit longer please!

Summertime Fun

As the first day of PreK draws near (August 5!) and summer comes to an end...I wanted to make sure I shared some of our favorite summertime days playing in the park, playing in the driveway, backyard parties with friends, pooltime - we have definitely kept busy! LOVE you summer...

My bike lovers...these two cannot wait to go for a ride. Hope we can keep riding through fall and enjoy more outdoor playtime!

Food Truck Night Out!

One of the best parts about summertime are the long evenings with late sunsets! We jumped at the chance to enjoy a long evening and support our community! Huntsville slowly tries to keep up with trends...and this summer every 3rd Thursday about 15 food trucks from the surrounding areas set up downtown near the park for a Food Truck Rally. We headed out with our neighbors to check it out! Kids had a blast, Hannah and Julia both wore their long dresses, enjoyed eating pizza, and mostly loved their ice cream and cupcakes! Lukey loved the live music and just wanted to dance!!! Cutie pie, he entertained quite a crowd! Fun night, super crowded, hard to try a lot of the trucks due to such long lines. We will try again next time with a better plan to fight the lines! Great night out - thanks Moran Family!

Annabelle's Frozen Party

Once again we had an absolute blast at Annabelle's 6th Birthday Party - FROZEN themed of course! Great sunny afternoon, yummy treats, and PRINCESS ELSA & ANNA!!! What?! Who needs Disney when you can head to the neighborhood pool party! Hannah was beyond thrilled and loved visiting with Elsa & Anna during the party. I did not take many photos as I was in the water swimming...but still got some good ones of the girls singing, swimming, and enjoying themselves! So much fun! Thanks for a great party Smith family! Happy Birthday Annabelle!

Olivia's Baptism

"For I know the plans
I have for you,"
declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you
and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope
and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

Olivia looked beautiful wearing Carla's baptismal gown, sweet baby! We all headed to TX over the Fourth of July holiday to baptize her at my parents church, Holy Trinity, in San Antonio. Olivia did great before hand, but during the actual baptism, once she started crying, she never stopped! Poor little thing! All in all a great private ceremony was celebrated with family and friends. Luke didn't cry at all during the baptism but it took a village to keep him contained! He was all over the place - thanks to everyone who helped! Hannah of course was a very good girl, watched the ceremony, and did an amazing job praying the Our Father, Deacon Chris was so impressed! Congratulations to our goddaughter Olivia! We are so very blessed.
