Pumpkin Patch Party

On a cool and cloudy Sunday afternoon...Carla, the kids and I headed north to a Tennessee pumpkin farm for a birthday party (the border is only about a 45 minute drive away.) Lyons Family Farm was super cute (wish I had taken more pics of the entrance) and we had a fun time wishing Campbell a very happy 3rd Birthday!


With lots to do, we made our way through the barns and stables, watched pig races, played in the maze, attempted other games, and Hannah even got her face painted! Attempted some pumpkin pics - but at then end of our afternoon, rookie mistake! - however, the trip was a success in my book due to the delicious funnel cake & snow cones we devoured before we headed home! Thanks to my sis for coming with us - we love you for spending your Sunday afternoon with us at the farm & braving the road trip!

5 Months Old Luke!

At five months old - Luke is a hungry little guy! ALWAYS ready for food - he is a super eater and mastered eating rice cereal from a spoon quickly! Moving on to solids very shortly...


Luke loves everything, and I mean everything both good and bad that Hannah does - we stress the word gentle all day every day, but so far Luke just smiles and looks up laughing! What a trooper! Just starting to roll over, he is definitely a wiggle worm, always kicking and moving. Luke puts everything into his mouth, toys, clothes, burp cloths, and drools from sun up to sun down! Hannah is very good about choosing a bib for him when we dress him - always making sure it matches too! Luke has a pretty good yet flexible schedule - poor guy takes many naps in the car - and we are still trying to figure out a good bedtime. He is worn out and tired much earlier than Hannah ever was...she is night owl! He is still waking up at night - sigh - but usually goes right back to sleep after eating! Luke is also in a big boy rear facing car seat - making car trips better - he was too big and hated being squished in the baby carrier.

Growing & growing, changing so much daily - wish I could keep my little guy little for longer! Enjoying his littleness as much as I can!

Luke & Hannah's First Photo Shoot!

LOVE the way these photos turned out -my beautiful 3 yr old daughter and 3 month old son cooperated so well for these photos! We took them back in July - still trying to catch up! Thanks again to Jennifer & Co for such great pics. Cannot wait until our family photo shoot in late October!

Let's Bowl!

On a rainy and cool Saturday morning...Hannah had her first bowling outing! On an episode of Curious George called "Gutter Monkey" the Man in the Yellow Hat bowls and she started talking about going bowling - so of course we took her! She loved it - even bowled a better score than mama (thanks to daddy's help & the ramp) and attempted to eat a HUGE slice of pizza for lunch.





Luke slept the entire time (guess he was really tired - it was so loud!) after I caught him smiling when we first arrived, such a happy little guy - great family memory & outing!
