Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween from our two sweet little "treats" - Hannah & Luke! We enjoyed a warm & sunny Halloween in TX this year...and had so much fun trick or treating with my Mom, Aunt Kurly, Uncle Ricky, Lisa & Jason (unfortunately Papa had to work :-( and Mike was on a football trip to Notre Dame) We missed them!

After a quick stroll around the block collecting treats...Hannah much preferred passing out treats on from the porch! I am sure the Halloween music & dancing were part of the reason! Hannah's favorite candy? M&M's - but definitely would choose anything chocolate just like her mama! We ate yummy homemade chili & cornbread, hotdogs for the kids, and our fair share of candy! What a spook-tacular evening! Happy Halloween indeed!

Kim Greenfield Photography

The Pillsbury Family

It was freezing cold that morning, we were leaving for ATL in a few hours, battling a 3 yr old and 6 mth old's attention span, I was determined not to have coats in the photos...AND we were working with a new photographer on location!!! I cannot begin to express how blown away I was with the results of our family photo shoot - Kim was amazing and the photos are beyond anything I could have imagined - beautiful. Our session had over 100 photos - and we get to keep them ALL digitally, hooray! - so I chose a few of our favorites, even though I loved them all!

6 Months Old Luke!

How is my little man 6 months! I know how quickly time goes by but this is crazy fast! Luke keeps getting bigger & bigger, a very solid 18 lbs! He is wearing mostly 6-12, 9 mth size clothes, size 3 diapers, and is eating food 3 times a day, milk 4-5 times. Luke has tried pears, apples, peaches, sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, squash, prunes & eats them all up! He also likes to drink water and has figured out how to drink from a basic sippy cup - such a big boy! Luke is not a night owl like his sister - he is ready for bed much earlier than Hannah and is sleeping from around 7:30pm to 6-6:30ish am (darn that time change!)with 2-3 naps a day. Roly poly Luke loves to roll over and move all around, and can sit on his own pretty well! Luke LOVES bath time and especially enjoys double baths with big sister! He babbles and coos, grunts and squeals, and tries to copy any noise or sound Hannah makes - he is definitely a nosier and louder baby than Hannah! Luke reaches and grabs for toys, puts everything in his mouth, and is always watching & looking around with those big eyes of his - still not sure what color they will be! Loving every day with my sweet baby boy!

Hannah is his preferred choice of entertainment - he giggles & laughs when she sings, dances, jumps, or giggles herself - they are quite a pair! Loved these pics of them playing "fort" together!

Princess Tea Party

Lanie's 3rd Birthday Princess Tea Party was just di-vine! Hannah was thrilled to dress up for the party and looked oh so fabulous in her gown & tiara! (Although, everyday is princess dress day at our house sometimes!) The girls painted sparkles on their nails & toes, enjoyed their fun little goody bags with all things sparkly & pink, devoured their humongous pink cupcakes & drank pink "tea" (really pink lemonade) from their tea cups like sweet little princesses! Then when the sugar high hit...they all ran outside, screaming & singing, and jumped & jumped on the trampoline like wild monkeys - hahaha! Happy Birthday sweet Lanie!

A Visit to ATL!

Our good friends, the Smith family, hosted us for a long overdue weekend in Atlanta! Loved their new house - so gorgeous & spacious! We had a jam packed weekend of plans filled with with kid fun and a bonus night out for the adults too! The dads had Saturday morning kid fun, carving pumpkins and playing hockey in the basement - while Christina and I headed out to shop and have lunch - such a treat! Then we swapped out, and the boys went out to enjoy a little football while we took care of naps for the kiddos. A trip to the playground before dinner, followed by decorating cookies and homemade hot chocolate - what a day!

We greeted our brave babysitter - and left her with Lincoln & Hannah, bathed, fed, and ready to watch The Little Mermaid - I mean how bad could two 3 yr olds be??? Luke and Emmie, our little ones, were already in bed, so we had a good start to the evening! Delicious dinner & night out - we dined at a cool new restaurant called King & Duke in Buckhead - and we all toasted when the babysitter texted that all the little ones were asleep! Hooray for a fun weekend with friends! Thank you Smiths!
