Lyon Family Farm, TN

For the south, fall means pumpkin patches, cotton fields, and a trip to a local farm! On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we headed out to spend the afternoon eating, playing, enjoying the fall weather & oh yeah, picking pumpkins! Not the best day for pics - the kids just wanted to run and play - but we managed a few! (Thanks Carla) We left without any pumpkins?! but nevertheless enjoyed our day trip! (Lyon Farms is in TN) Highlights were the beautiful day, smaller crowds, farm animals (Lukey loved that the most)jumping in the corn bins, and snacks. Lows were stinky farm animals, hot smelly kids whose pants, boots, onesies, diapers! were filled with corn, and that the little cow train broke on our ride (we were stopped in a field when the last little barrel fell off...with a little girl and very embarassed mom in it!) and the fact that NO ONE took a nap on the car ride home! Also note that not ONE photo of a pumpkin was taken!?! How did that happen?

Really though, everyone knew that I (and possibly Hannah)were just there for the funnel cake...hooray!
