Today's adventure led us to Fredericksburg, home to so many B&B's, shops, Opa's Sausage, and some of the best peaches in Texas! My cousin Lisa and Jason drove up from San Antonio to meet us at a farm that lets you pick your own, along with other seasonal fruits and vegetables. Note to self, blackberries are messy (they stain) and have prickly stems and vines (ouch!) and peaches, well, you have to be tall enough to reach! (Luke did great though, what a trooper!) After a very lengthy talk about rules, where to go, what to pick, what not to pick, how to pick...GEEZ, we headed out towards the orchards to enjoy our morning!
Headed back into town for lunch, shopping and then cooled off with some ice cream. Aunt Carla came in from the ranch to meet us, kids were ALL smiles! Loved spending the day with everyone, such a nice summer outing...
