Hannah is my favorite little travel companion! Since she was born, we have gone so many places! Recently, we flew to Denver - and had a great weekend visiting my college roomate Dana & her husband Adam! We were also able to spend time with other college friends and their children who were in town! Hannah bonded with Dana and they were "best friends" the whole weekend - too cute! We had a great time and enjoyed a fun couples baby shower on Saturday night for my friend Jen who is having twins! Didn't get many photos...too busy having fun! Thanks for hosting us Dana! We will be back again soon!

Like Mother, Like Daughter!
Looks like a very similar grin shared between us!
(Hannah grinning while playing with her favorite push toy!)

(An old pic of me playing happily in a basket!)

Hannah playing in one of her toy boxes and a diaper box! Looks like we also share a love of playing inside toy baskets and other items! Thanks mom for sending the picture!

16 Months Old!
Watching Hannah grow and change keeps getting better and better! She makes us laugh daily with her new skills, words, and her developing personality - hearing her laugh and seeing her smile brightens even the worst of days!

Though still on the petite size...Hannah is tall and slender weighing slightly over 20lbs and about 31inches tall. She is still in size 3 diapers, wears mostly 12-18mth in clothes, has a 4.5 - 5 shoe size, and still has only 6 teeth! She does a great job with her utensils, bowls, plates, and loves to eat and snack! Cheerios, goldfish, bananas, and applesauce (especially the ones in the squeeze pouches) are top of the list. Hannah does like all of her veggies and fruits...however she still prefers them from a squeeze pouch. Rice, noodles, oven fries with ketchup, blueberry waffles with syrup, chicken, cheese, are other faves. Still doesn't like milk - but loves yogurt and other dairy items. Cookies anyone??? Hannah loves them! Good thing her mama loves to bake...and loves cookies too!

Hannah's vocabulary is still jumbled - but new words keep popping up! Ice, hi, duck, all done, mama, dada, more, juice, awa (water), and wuff wuff when she sees dogs. She is starting to imitate more and more of what we do...can still do high five, wave bye-bye, sign more and all done, touch her nose, hair/head, knees, toes, belly, and indicate where her shoulders are with a cute shoulder move. Loves playing with her doll house, stacking things, stirring things, emptying and refilling, and just recently likes to "draw" or color. She likes to carry things around the house and find new places for them...but is helpful and follows directions when it is time to clean up and put toys back to their correct locations! She does like watching "Elmo"(Sesame Street), and Mickey Mouse Club House...and she will watch the food channel with me!

Hannah is super curious, loves to run and play outside, and is very observant of her surroundings. She is a great traveler both airplane and car - and loves meeting new people and visiting friends! She is a sweet and loving little toddler now...becoming more and more independent every day - love you so much Hannah!

15 Months Old!
The two best ways to describe Hannah in this update are fast and chatty! She runs through the house and tells you all about it in her cute little babble...her words are becoming more and more understandable - duck, moo, more, all-done, bah, ball, up, nana (for banana), mama, dada, lala (my sister Carla), dat (that), this, juice, awa (water), and more that I am forgetting! She is the queen of facial expressions - watch out for her disapproving look - it is worse than mine! Hannah loves to twirl her hair - a major clue of sleepiness - and we think it is her way of soothing herself since she does not have a special toy, or blanket or doll. She prefers books - which is fine by me - and constantly brings me books from her shelf or basket, climbs into my lap, and then turns the pages super fast! Hannah loves to be outside...just say the word and she will run to find her shoes and then head to the door! We have definately spent most of our summer at the pool - she loves to play in the water!
Waving bye-bye, hello, blowing kisses, clapping, giving high five's, raising both arms up when we say "touchdown" (thanks to my dad!) mostly shaking her head no, but also shaking yes at times, pointing, patting her belly, touching her toes, patting her head, touching her nose, and putting her hands together to pray...she is a little sponge and it is amazing to see what she copies both in physical and verbal form! Hannah loves to watch Elmo, Sesame Street, or anything with singing, dancing, and/or music! She will "sing" and dance along which is super cute - she's got good rhythm!
Snacking and eating are still very popular times of day...Hannah's current favorites include: bananas, pancakes, waffles, cheese, homemade blueberry muffins, canadian bacon, quesadillas, chicken, steak, oven fries, 5 Guys, rice, noodles with butter, bagel bites, any vegetable combination of Plum baby food, applesauce, yogurt, nilla wafers, peanut butter, goldfish, cheerios - still working on milk...and since she only has six teeth, I am still very careful with cutting up her food. She does a great job with utensils and eating off of plates, bowls instead of her tray. Hannah loves to dip while eating - syrup and ketchup being the top two! She is a great helper in the kitchen - loves to stir/mix things in bowls, wisk, and take things out of the pantry/spice cabinet for me!
Love to watch Hannah play, laugh, and run around! Mike and I now know what "the pitter patter of tiny feet" actually sounds like in our house - and are loving it! We have made the transition from two naps to one...and enjoy an early bathtime and bedtime routine! Very happy and proud of all the things Hannah can do...looking forward to more!

Fritz & Kelly Come to Visit!
Oh how we love spending time with the Fultons! Fritz and Hannah, only two months apart, played so well together during this past visit! Both of them loved being outside, shared snacks together, and enjoyed watching their mama's laugh and chat! Our days were busy chasing after our toddlers...but we did manage some great outings, cooked some yummy dinners, and definately enjoyed our moments of peace when the little ones were sleeping!
Thanks so much for coming to AL to visit us! We are looking forward to our next trip to Ft. Worth! Definately missed Jack this time and Jamie too...see ya'll again soon!

Texas in July!
What an amazing time we had in San Antonio! Two glorious weeks of relaxing, playing, shopping, eating, cooking, and visiting! Hannah and I are pretty popular when we head home to TX - so many people, never enough time! Hannah loves her cowboy boot socks...aren't they cute!? A Texas girl at heart, just like her mama!
So many fun places to go and things to see and do in SA - we packed in a lot this trip! Had a great time at the San Antonio Zoo! Hannah loved to see the animals - monkeys were a big hit, so were the hippos! Loved feeding the ducks and fish too! My aunts, uncles, and cousins (12 of us in all) went to Sea World of Texas - thanks Scott for the tickets - and what a blast we all had! Hannah and Jason enjoyed the shows, loved the animals (Shamu and baby Shamu were a big hit!), napped in their strollers, and didn't mind being outside in the TX sun! What an adventure!
This trip we did manage a small road trip to South TX so Hannah could meet her Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma. Grandpa was so happy to have us visit! Hannah loves music and enjoyed Grandpa's guitar skills very much! We spent the morning at the nursing home visiting my Grandma, who took to Hannah immediately! She has advanced alzheimer's but something about Hannah really brought her spirits up and got her "talking" and humming! Four generations all together! Pretty amazing...
We had lots of play dates with cousin Jason - the zoo (followed by lunch at Chris Madrids - highlight of the outing for me!), kids museum, Sea World, the pool - and spent time with my favorite Aunts (my mom's sisters Kurly and Carla) and 1st cousin Lisa (Jason's mom). Hannah started walking in TX :-)and I think we owe it to the push toy my dad bought her...she LOVED it! Can you tell?
My sister Carla flew in for a long weekend so we could ALL celebrate my mom's birthday! So very rare that we are home together - what a fun birthday! We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Paesano's and then headed back to the house for homemade desserts - yummy! Hannah was soooo tired...can you tell??? She was a rockstar at dinner (who wouldn't love Paesano's??) ate cupcakes, and crashed hard that night!
Hannah has mastered the "more" baby sign and at times, she seemed to do it just for fun:-) She played so well with all of her "Texas" toys, many of them my old toys - she loves the set of zoo animals and loved playing with them in the window. We didn't get to the ranch this time, or get to make salsa...but Hannah was working hard at rolling out tortillas! Thanks for a great visit mom and dad - miss you all so much! Cannot wait until next time!
P.S. Hannah was not a happy girl the day we left, check out that frown! She would absolutely NOT smile at anyone at the airport or on our plane...AND when we arrived home she would not let me unpack the suitcases!!! Too cute!
