My grandpa unfortunately had to have surgery this summer, and it resulted in the amputation of his right leg from the knee down. Sadly, he has been battling diabetes and its side effects for years. We headed down to south Texas to visit after he had a chance to recover and was given the all clear for visitors. He looked great, and was in good spirits when we arrived for our visit! Papa Carlitos loves seeing Hannah and Luke (us too, but they are way more exciting and cute) and we had a nice afternoon. He loves art and drawing, and was able to draw Hannah a special picture in her tiny notebook! We did score points by bringing him a hamburger and snacks, he loves treats! We love you grandpa, and are praying for your full recovery, see you again soon!
