15 Months Old!

The two best ways to describe Hannah in this update are fast and chatty! She runs through the house and tells you all about it in her cute little babble...her words are becoming more and more understandable - duck, moo, more, all-done, bah, ball, up, nana (for banana), mama, dada, lala (my sister Carla), dat (that), this, juice, awa (water), and more that I am forgetting! She is the queen of facial expressions - watch out for her disapproving look - it is worse than mine! Hannah loves to twirl her hair - a major clue of sleepiness - and we think it is her way of soothing herself since she does not have a special toy, or blanket or doll. She prefers books - which is fine by me - and constantly brings me books from her shelf or basket, climbs into my lap, and then turns the pages super fast! Hannah loves to be outside...just say the word and she will run to find her shoes and then head to the door! We have definately spent most of our summer at the pool - she loves to play in the water!

Waving bye-bye, hello, blowing kisses, clapping, giving high five's, raising both arms up when we say "touchdown" (thanks to my dad!) mostly shaking her head no, but also shaking yes at times, pointing, patting her belly, touching her toes, patting her head, touching her nose, and putting her hands together to pray...she is a little sponge and it is amazing to see what she copies both in physical and verbal form! Hannah loves to watch Elmo, Sesame Street, or anything with singing, dancing, and/or music! She will "sing" and dance along which is super cute - she's got good rhythm!

Snacking and eating are still very popular times of day...Hannah's current favorites include: bananas, pancakes, waffles, cheese, homemade blueberry muffins, canadian bacon, quesadillas, chicken, steak, oven fries, 5 Guys, rice, noodles with butter, bagel bites, any vegetable combination of Plum baby food, applesauce, yogurt, nilla wafers, peanut butter, goldfish, cheerios - still working on milk...and since she only has six teeth, I am still very careful with cutting up her food. She does a great job with utensils and eating off of plates, bowls instead of her tray. Hannah loves to dip while eating - syrup and ketchup being the top two! She is a great helper in the kitchen - loves to stir/mix things in bowls, wisk, and take things out of the pantry/spice cabinet for me!

Love to watch Hannah play, laugh, and run around! Mike and I now know what "the pitter patter of tiny feet" actually sounds like in our house - and are loving it! We have made the transition from two naps to one...and enjoy an early bathtime and bedtime routine! Very happy and proud of all the things Hannah can do...looking forward to more!
