Hannah's First Week!

Has a week passed by already? Wow! Someone failed to inform me how overwhelming things can become with the arrival of a new baby...not necessarily because of the baby but because of all the visitors! Today was such a peaceful day for Hannah and I - we finally had some one on one time and decided to take a nap together! (My first one in a week!) We also visited our pediatrician, Dr. Field, for our one week visit and received good news: we gained 4 oz. and grew a whole inch and a quarter! Hooray!

Life with Hannah is a new experience every day - but I wouldn't trade my days for anything! Here are some of my new favorite daily activities:

staring into my daughter's beautiful big eyes
singing (usually only reserved for church, because God loves all voices) but Hannah does not seem to mind either!
talking about belly buttons (Hannah lost hers on Saturday and is healing nicely!)
picking out Hannah's outfit for the next day, what nightgown she will sleep in, what her backup outfit will be...pretty much anything to do with what she wears!
watching her stare and play with her daddy :-)which is by far my favorite thing to watch!

Some big events in Hannah's first week:

My Texas Grandparents were sooooo excited to meet me! They could not be more proud than to see their baby girl with her baby girl. So very blessed to have both daughter and granddaughter be happy and healthy!

My D.C. grandparents couldn't wait to meet me! I have so many people who love me, what a lucky baby girl I am!

Do you see my special "Pillsbury" outfit?

I had my very first sponge bath at home! I really only liked being wrapped up in my towel after the bath...

Hannah's first week was filled with family, friends, and lots of love! What a sweet baby girl we have.
