Weekend Away

I absolutely love the fact that Mike, Hannah and I are able to get away for mini-weekend trips! Having every other Friday off as part of his (Mike) work schedule, allows our family to do so much! We decided to head down to FL to visit our good friends the Lawrence family for the weekend - so much fun! We watched the sunset from the dock, watched boats at the marina, stuck our toes in the sand at the beach - who could ask for anything more!

Laura is one of my foodie friends and we are always inspired when we get together - we cooked all weekend, with a few exceptions like breakfast down on the beach on Saturday, and lunch out at the marina on Friday - the boys happily manned the grill while we took over the kitchen. Baked goat cheese, heirloom tomato and cucumber salad, mango and avocado salsa - with tri-tip, fresh shrimp, ribs - we feasted! The girls played extremely well together and we all enjoyed our visit. See you guys in the fall for an AU football game weekend!

Pool Party!

We headed to the neighborhood pool on Saturday for our sweet little friend Annabelle's 4th birthday party! Our good friends, the Smith family, drove in from Atlanta for the party - Lincoln and Hannah had so much fun playing together! Baby Emmie was adorable and we all had a blast hanging out! Hooray for summer fun and friends!

Hannah's New Ride!

Two words - COZY COUPE! Hannah has loved this car at every friends' house we have played at...and now she finally has one of her own! (Thanks Mom & Dad:-) She could not wait to get into this car and all Mike and I heard as he assembled it was: "Hannah drive?" and "Hannah's car?" Too cute! One very happy little driver!

Our little firework enjoyed watching her daddy and some neighbors set off some kid friendly fireworks before bedtime this year! She really liked playing with the unlit sparklers - using them as wands - but stayed clear of anything lit (good girl!) Happy 4th to everyone!

Jetsetter

Thanks to a tip on some amazing last minute airline rates (thank you Kelly!) Hannah and I set off for Fort Worth with TWO airline tickets, and enjoyed Hannah's first flight with her very own ticket and seat! She was right at home on the plane - this being her 14th round trip! She played with her baby doll, coloring set and snacked away happily on all the goodies packed by her mama!

With 2 TWO year olds in tow...our visit never had a dull moment! We stayed cool at the pool, ate and cooked yummy food (I am always inspired when Central Market is nearby!) and enjoyed watching our little crew play!

My parents also came up for a short surprise visit while we were in Fort Worth! So much fun to be surrounded by family and friends! Hannah and I had a blast - we are so lucky to be loved so much! Cannot wait to see everyone again soon! Thank you for an amazing trip - we always love being in Texas - home sweet home!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my husband, I am so proud of dad he has become! There is just something about a daddy with his daughter that makes you smile...every little girl should be so lucky! I know I am - I hope Hannah will always love, respect, and look up to her dad like I do to mine! Hannah and I love you so much - thank you for loving us so much too!
