Austin has a zoo. A small & rustic rescue zoo, where each animal has its' own story on how it got to Austin, how cute! On a VERY warm summer day, we set off to meet our friends Christina and Sydney (a soon to be 1st grader with Hannah at HF). A lot of water bottles helped us get through our afternoon. Despite the heat, we saw some incredible animals, AND ate lunch with the free roaming peacocks! The tiger was my favorite animal, however, my favorite story was about a small turtle who was moved to the rescue zoo because he coudln't get along with the other turtles in his previous zoo! HA! The breeze on the train ride cooled us off, and ended our zoo adventure. Fun day with friends!
