Chester the Racoon
Our Chester Road Trip Weekend! Each child in Kindergarten gets to take Chester the Racoon home for one weekend, and is responsible for taking care of him, and logging a journal entry into his book. Chester braved the road and headed to the Rio Grande Valley, made homemade tortillas, ate BBQ, met Hannah's great grandfather, attended a bridal shower, went to church, ate at Chuy's and stopped at Buc-ee's on the way back to Austin. Whew! What a weekend! Everyone made it home safely, but I cannot end the post without a THANK YOU to the 24 hr Walgreen's photo lab! (You have to turn the completed journal, and Chester back in Monday morning!)

Apple Day!
Oh what fun to get to volunteer at Hannah's school! She has such a great class, and getting to spend Apple Craft Day celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday with them was so fun! Lots of smiles, lots of messes (I was in charge of the painting table?1?!?) and lots of cute pics! Looking forward to the next opportunity to spend time at school!

Luke's First Day of 2's Preschool
Finally found a school for Lukey! (Really tough to get into preschools late in the year, spots have been filled since January, we got lucky!) He goes to HIS Kids, First Baptist Church, every Tuesday from 9-2pm, and is in Ms. Katy & Ms. Aimee's room, they are too sweet! Rough drop off the first couple of times, but now he is excited and loves to talk about his school, teachers, and his day.
Luke to Hannah: "Soooo how was you day?"
Hannah to Luke: "Great. How was your day buddy?"
Luke: "I go to school, see my friends, eat lunch, play on playground, sleep...Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus for our lunch (Luke often breaks into song when talking)...I made a picture for you mama!"
Happy little guy! Loves learning, singing, and playing at school. Proud of you Lukey!

Road Trip to Fort Worth
I will say that one of my favorite things (I have LOTS) about moving back to TX is that we are so close to so many friends and family! (for those of you we haven't visited yet, don't worry, you are on the list!) Packing up the kids and heading out on mini road trips on the weekends is such a nice option to have! So when Mike was out of town, the kids and I decided to head up to Ft Worth one Saturday morning to visit Kelly, Jamie and the boys. Highlights from the trip:
Popsicle's
iPads
Minivan rides
Selfies
Trains
Dinner
Bath buds
Blue shirt brigade
Beautiful day, great trip! Thanks Fulton's...we will be back again!
