Lili's 6th Birthday

On a gorgeous Texas February afternoon, we happily helped Lili celebrate at her party in the park! Face painting, playgrounds, art projects, a unicorn cake, who could want anything more? Cheers to Miss Lili!

Shout out to the little brothers, Luke and Bohdi, they are one dynamic duo and had a blast playing! Thank you Park family for a great party!

Austin Aquarium

On a very gloomy and rainy day, we were lucky enough to spend it at the Austin Aquarium. Sydney's birthday party was so much fun, getting to feed and touch the sting rays was definitely the highlight! Lots of other animals to see, cake to eat, and happy birthdays to be wished to the birthday girl. We will come back for sure!

The Muirs, BBQ, & Valentine's Day Wkd

These two go waaaaay back, to our college days, and now that we are back in Texas, we can enjoy fun weekend visits with RT, Lyric and their kiddos Cole and Campbell! This trip included a BBQ pilgrimage to Franklin's...Mike again took the early shift and everyone else met him there a few hours later! WORTH it...this was the second time for us and we again came to the conclusion BEST BRISKET ever! Aaron Franklin himself came over to us, fed some burnt ends to Luke in line, and snapped a selfie with Lyric and I!



For the rest of the weekend we took everyone to our favorite pizza joint in downtown Georgetown, mostly relaxed while the kids played soccer in the backyard, camped out in front of the TV, and then we cooked a fancy steak supper for Valentine's day on Sunday night...Mike, our chef, outdid himself again, and Lyric made the most amazing chocolate dessert! Kids enjoyed making ice cream sundaes and watching the Lego movie! Great weekend with friends, looking forward to next time!

My kiddos shared Valentine's Day cards with their friends, Hannah wrote out every one of her My Little Pony valentine's on her own and I failed to get any photos of her that afternoon!!! She did work hard on other valentine's that we took to dance class, and others we mailed to far away friends (that I did get photos of...go figure!) Lukey picked out Mickey Mouse valentine's with lolly pops to share with his class at their party. Both Luke and Hannah made BEAUTIFUL cards for us at school - which by far were the best gifts! (The tulips were a very close second, so beautiful!) Happy Valentine's day to all! XOXO

HEB

I have to admit, grocery shopping is something I love doing, and now that we are back in Texas, my options seem endless with Whole Foods, HEB/Central Market, Trader Joe's and all the local farmers markets to choose from! Luke is my partner in shopping and apparently today he just couldn't make it! What a sweet little boy...

HFS Gala 2016

The 2016 HFS Gala theme was Saturday Night Live...fun theme, yet a little tough to choose appropriate characters! Our group chose wisely and we went as DA SUPERFANS. Thanks to our native Chicagoans, Julie & Mike, for lending us some gear and helping us with the theme! Mike went out on his own, he was Turd Ferguson from SNL Celebrity Jeopardy...and I will say he pulled it off pretty well!

We hoped on the train (in full costume) and headed downtown, first stopping at the Handle Bar (a trendy little bar that loves mustaches), then to the Sheraton at the Capitol where we enjoyed dinner, silent & live auctions, a little gambling, a little dancing, and some fun with friends! To top off the night, we even ventured out after the Gala ended for some late night fun...Turd was a hit, and many selfies were taken at each place we went too! HA! What a night! Cheers to mustaches, and GOOOOOOOOO Bears!
