22 & 23 Months Old Luke!
Yes. I am doubling up the months...again. In my defense, February did not have a 29th this year so easy to forget! That being said, Luke at 22 & 23 months old has been busy! He is all over the place, loves to jump (can get both feet off the ground!) and dance, as well as his ever expanding vocabulary - lots of short phrases and two to three words together! My favorite sayings: "bless you" anytime anyone sneezes, burps, coughs, or blows their nose, "peeza! weady!" anytime he is cooking in the play kitchen and takes something out of the oven! Also, we have been working on him saying YES instead of YEAH, and so when we correct him and say "Yes, mama" he replies with the yes and then proceeds to say every name of anyone who has corrected him, "Yes, mamananadadapapahannah! HA! Luke loves "ouside" and wants to be there at all times, loves Happy by Pharrell, and Uptown Funk, sings his own sweet version of Twinkle Twinkle, loves Wheels on the Bus, and can manipulate an iPad like a pro! He loves Dora and Friends, Handy Manny, Sofia the First, and Mickey Mouse! Luke loves snacks, mostly fruit, but will try anything you offer and always wants what you are having. (He tried fried calamari last night at dinner!) I mean who double times chicken nuggets??? Eats EVERYTHING, and is hungry all day long. Luke loves food.
MINE! and NO! are becoming more and more frequent...he does not want to share and takes toys away from both Hannah and Olivia when we are all playing, always ends in tears, we are working on the sharing thing. Likes trains, and trucks, and kicking/throwing balls, loves to push baby strollers and shopping carts or other push toys. Luke gets super excited to play "hide seek" with Hannah and daddy, as well as horsey (riding on daddy's back) and any form of chase! Huggable, snuggable - Luke loves to gives hugs and kisses too. He LOVES his sister Hannah...always wants to be near her, doing what she is doing, watching what she is watching, playing what she is playing - he is definitely her shadow! I mean who wouldn't want to be with her, she builds the best forts, has the best games, and is always looking out for her little brother! They are buds (mostly) and I absolutely love seeing them with one another!
Love our little Lukey! Excited to celebrate TWO in April!

Texas Spring Break
Hannah's school Spring Break was a week before Easter weekend, bummer, but we packed up to Texas and just celebrated a week early! The weather could not have been more beautiful and the kids had a blast! Luke definitely had a clue this year on egg hunting and Hannah did so well dying eggs. Who doesn't love cascarones? My kids do, and happily cracked them all! Luke had the most interesting technique, pushing in the tissue paper and just dumping out the confetti - maybe next year he will get the whole cracking on each others head tradition! He also didn't mind people cracking the eggs on his head, so that was a relief!

Sweet treats and big smiles...had a great visit, wish we could have stayed longer!!! Fun afternoons playing in the sun, steaks on the grill for dinner, delicious Texas sized desserts, our bellies and hearts were full - thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us! Happy (Palm Sunday) Easter!

Texas Bluebonnets
I love Spring in Texas! I was excited as a little girl (that is me in the first two pics) and still get excited every time I witness the sea of bluebonnets that take over each Spring. The sight of bluebonnets covering every hillside and field just makes me happy! Taking pictures in the bluebonnets is something every Texan has experienced, and my little Texans at heart had their moment in those beautiful flowers too!
