16 Months Old Luke!
16 months old and growing fast! All boy...all the time, Luke wants to be a part of everything. If Hannah is coloring at the table, he wants to be coloring, if she has a snack, he wants a snack, pretty much our whole day is spent trying to figure out what Luke can play with that is NOT Hannah's, or just finding something similar to what she has, Luke is pretty easy going when it comes to toys thank goodness, and we can pass off like items for now. Hungry ALL day long, Luke never refuses a snack! Some new favorites are grapes, string cheese, popsicles, raisins & craisins. He also tried and liked grouper nuggets at our fav beach eat, Peg Leg's, but who doesn't love those things, Hannah even eats them?! Loves music, singing and dancing, and is getting quite loud with his shouts of out! (get me down or out please), MAAAA! (mama come quick), bah! (no more food please). Baf (for bath), burds (birds, and he will try to whistle when asked what a bird says), rahr (he roars like a dinosaur), bawl (for anything looking like a ball) and my favorite umm (for um um good)! Loves his board books, especially animal ones, although the Little Blue Truck still trumps all. Luke is tall and skinny, wears a size 4 diaper and 12-18 mth clothes, he is always on the go so no wonder he is so trim! Claps, high fives, and cheers always bring a smile to his face - sweet boy we love you so much!

Gardens Gone Wild!
What started out as a neatly planted and well maintained garden has turned into a crazy wild and abundantly fruitful mess! Both Hannah and Luke help me pick tomatoes and basil, while I pick the hot peppers. All of the rain we have had has kept our garden growing like crazy! Next year we need to do a better job of containing the tomatoes!!! They went crazy! We also have had tons of basil...can you see the huge plant behind Luke!?

Hannah's 1st Day of PreK
After a tough 48 hrs, Hannah was still very excited to begin her year of PreK, at her new school Rivertree. Lots of new friends to be made, and a cute little class of 12 kids, including lots more girls to play with than last year! Ms. Erica is her teacher and Hannah felt right at home in her new classroom, especially since the windows overlook the playground (Hannah did have to sit out all week due to her stitches) but nevertheless still a great view. She took out her Sophia the First coloring book the first morning and got right to work, while Luke plotted how to climb out of his stroller and steal all the markers and crayons!
Hannah brought home a "Self-Portrait" from the 1st day - pretty impressive, my favorite parts are the ears and earrings she added and the beautiful details to the eyes! And she was welcomed home by Luke & Olivia as well as some treats from mama! Love you sweet girl - you make us so proud!

Hannah's 1st ER Trip
I never guessed that my Hannah would be the first one heading to the ER, or the first one to have stitches. That being said, it happened and she was a brave little trooper! We spent the afternoon on our last weekend of summer with our neighbors at the pool, ordered pizza for dinner, and actually had the entire neighborhood pool to ourselves! As the kids were picking up pool toys...there was a splash, then cries for help. Hannah slipped on the side of pool, splitting her chin and bumping her head as she clung to the side. Got the bleeding to stop pretty quickly and her and I headed home to drop off Lukey (with Carla), grabbing some dry clothes before leaving to the ER. We had amazing nurses and a great doctor while we were there and Hannah did so well! She did get sick after they put her stitches in, so routine procedure is a CT scan. Hannah and I cuddled in her hospital bed, watching Disney Channel, Toy Story 3 while we waited for results. We left after about two and a half hours, Hannah received three butterfly stitches and a possible mild concussion diagnosis. She slept with me that night, just so I could monitor her, and woke up feeling ok! Hannah had PreK orientation later that morning and went with excitement and a smile despite her injury! Stitches will come off in about 5-7 days...hoping for little to no scarring, but since it is under her chin we may luck out with a very discreet scar! Thanks to the Morans for keeping everyone calm at the pool, Carla for keeping Lukey, Dr. Branscome (our ER doctor), Kim, Erin, & Ashley (our ER nurses) and everyone who send us love & prayers!
