Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch...

While on our TX trip, we did enjoy some time at the ranch - much to Hannah's delight! She LOVED feeding the cows and the horses, riding in the Mule, and relaxing at the ranch house! I couldn't quite capture the pure joy on her face...but came close! Nothing like pigtails blowing in the wind, Texas sun on your face, and longhorn cows!

Hannah and I headed to TX unexpectedly when we heard news that my Granny Dee's (my mom's mom) health was taking a turn for the worse and she was being admitted to hospice care. While the trip was unplanned (Mike dropped us off at the airport in Birmingham on the way back from the beach!) it meant so much that we were able to visit my Granny, celebrate her 85th birthday with her, and be together with the family. Thank you to everyone who drove us around, fed us, and gave us a place to stay! We love and miss you all so much -and send all our love & prayers your way!

The Beatles -Birthday

In need of some R & R and the type of peace only the beach can provide...we happily headed back to Gulf Shores to celebrate Mike's 32nd Birthday! (or 4th annual 29th Birthday as he would say!) Not even the stormy weather could ruin our beach days - we still played, swam, snacked, visited with some college friends, and had a very happy birthday weekend!

We hosted a small get together at our house on Sunday evening to celebrate Carla's 1st Annual 29th birthday! Pizza, homemade cake, ice cream, and cookies were all so delicious - and Hannah loved wishing everyone a Happy Birthday! More celebrations to come this week...happy to host the opening party!
